World literature including the in-depth study of novels and short stories is part of this course.

This course will focus on pulling together and applying the accumulation of learning that students have from their previous math courses.  They will apply methods from probability and statistics, expanding their repertoire of functions to include polynomial, rational, and radical functions, they will expand their study of right triangle trigonometry and will bring together all of their experience with functions and geometry to create models and solve contextual problems.

Statistics is a branch of mathematics that explores concrete connections with everyday living.  Students will develop critical thinking skills with life-long application. Students will gather, graph, examine, compare and interpret data using technology, including graphing calculators or computer statistics software.  They will describe data and make informed decisions and predictions based on data.

AP Biology is an introductory college-level biology course. Students will cultivate their understanding of biology through inquiry-based investigations as they explore the following topics: evolution, cellular processes-energy and communication, genetics, information transfer, ecology, and interactions. College credit may be obtained by successfully completing the course and by passing a required AP Examination in the Spring.

The Honors Biology curriculum is designed to present an examination of the living world and related societal issues. Emphasis is placed on the scientific process, cells and cell processes, human anatomy, genetics, evolution, and ecology. Honors Biology investigates biological organization starting at a molecular level and culminating with living organisms and their evolutionary history.

This non-majors course will cover a broad survey of living diversity from bacteria to plants and animals. It will introduce students to cell structure and physiology, inheritance, evolution and classification. This class will focus on the integration of biological science into daily events by studying cellular level phenomena, evolutionary relationships, and heritable patterns. Laboratory study, experimentation, and analysis will be completed to illustrate important biological principles and provide a hands-on experience in general biology.

This class follows the discovery of electricity, and progresses by making and using the basic tools and inventions that bring us to the state of electronics today. This course sets a foundation for more advanced studies such as the Digital Electronics AI course.

They will learn problem-solving design processes and how they are used in industry.  Students will be exposed to the techniques learned and equipment used by architects and engineers throughout the United States. Digital Electronics (Intro to AI Artificial Intelligence)  This course begins with the basics of electronics, moves into components, and then into circuit construction, building  power supplies and circuit testers while learning soldering basics. We learn number systems and waveforms, and about how computers combine electronic components to perform artificial intelligence. We design a lot of electrical circuits, such as basic computer memory, binary clocks, calculators, etc. And we learn how to program whole circuits into integrated circuits. This class preps you for the age of automation, it is also the highest paying field of all Engineering Fields. Membership in TSA and/or Robotics is encouraged.

This course reviews and builds on concepts from Computer Science Principles. Using Python, students will work on intermediate programming topics to gain a better understanding of object-oriented programming, software design, and computer applications.

This advanced course is object-oriented computer programming. It is intended to serve both as an introductory course for computer science majors and as a substantial services course for people who will major in other disciplines that require significant involvement with computing such as engineering. A primary objective is to teach students how to write logically structured, well-documented computer programs. The language for this course is currently C++. This course is taught by WSU as a concurrent enrollment course.

The course will cover the history of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), focusing on the recent developments of the small UAS (sUAS), and the future of this emerging technology in commercial applications. Topics will include flight and ground safety, regulations, and flying skills required for both rotary and fixed wing sUAS. This course will prepare you to take the FAA certification exam for a commercial remote pilot.

Driver Education is designed to help students acquire the knowledge, attitude, and skills necessary for safe driving. By Utah state law, students must pass every requirement in driver education with 80% minimum score to be eligible for a driver license (classroom course, final exam, driving practice and road test). **Parent/guardian involvement is required by Utah law for driver education.

This version of the class is completed ONLINE through Canvas. There is a required exam that will need to be taken in person with the teacher.

This course is designed to teach students to skillfully manage personal financial decisions and transactions. Students will receive a knowledge base as well as opportunities for application through simulated activities. The basics of checking, credit, savings, investing, consumer loans, and insurance will be discussed. Students will use this knowledge and related skills to take individual responsibility for personal economic well-being.  This class is required for graduation.
