Welcome to Seminars!
The purpose of Seminars is to help you prepare to be college and career ready through different events and enrichment activities. You will have the opportunity to interact with several universities and our community partners. You will receive important information and resources to help you reach your goals and help you pay for college. The Counseling Department will be using Canvas Announcements as a way to communicate upcoming events or important information about CCR meetings, Capstone Projects, Graduation Details, etc. Please check your notifications settings so that you are receiving these important announcements!
To Receive Seminar Credit
At NUAMES we believe in helping you prepare for life after high school and are empowering you to take advantage of these opportunities.
- Participate in 6 or more Seminar Activities each year (2 Mandatory + 4 Elective = 6 per year).
- Complete the Assignment associated with the activity and upload it to Canvas in order to receive full credit for the Seminar Assignment.
- Students who complete 2 Mandatory and 4 Elective Seminars a year will earn .25 elective credits on their transcript.
- Students who do not complete the seminars will earn an "Administrative U" in Citizenship that will need to be made up prior to May 1st of their Senior year.
- All Seminar credit is due by May 1st each school year.
