Option 1: Create a Success Plan with administrator, counselor or teacher. - To Remove ONE "U"

1. Establish a SUCCESS plan with an Administrator, Counselor, or Teacher to recover citizenship.
2. Students who complete ANY combination of NUAMES Tutoring sessions, Citizenship make-up classes, or approved community service at NUAMES can make up 1 “U” in Citizenship.
   • CHOOSE U MAKE UP OPTION:
     • OPTION 1 = 8 Hours + $10 fee per U
     • OPTION 2 = no fee required + 12 Hours per U
3. Track hours, get a signature of completed hours by NUAMES faculty, and submit the signed form to NUAMES counselor or administrator for approval of completion.
4. Pay $10 per “U” (OPTION 1 required) to the NUAMES financial secretary

Option 2: Community Service - To Remove ONE "U"

1. Track and complete hours of community service at an approved site, AND get a signature of completion from the site supervisor overseeing the student's community service hours.
   • CHOOSE U MAKE UP OPTION:
     • OPTION 1 = 8 hours +$10 fee per U
     • OPTION 2 = no fee required + 12 hours per U
2. Submit the complete form to NUAMES counselor or administrator for approval of completion.
3. Pay $10 per "U" (OPTION 1 required) to the NUAMES financial secretary to post the U makeup credit.
