Purple Star Program

As a proud Purple Star School, we are committed to supporting military-connected students and their families. We recognize the unique challenges that frequent moves, deployments, and changes in family routines can bring. Our goal is to create a welcoming, stable, and inclusive environment for all students. Our school designates trained staff members to serve as points of contact for military families, centralizes resources to ensure easy access to academic and social supports, and provides ongoing training to staff to deepen their understanding of military life. Through these efforts, we aim to ensure smooth educational transitions, foster a strong sense of belonging, and honor the service and sacrifices of our military families.

Support for our Military Students

Student Led Transition Program

The NUAMES student leaders and HOPE squad will work one-on-one with military students. Students can take a tour, have someone to walk with them to class and check-in with them throughout the school year.

Military Recognition Breakfast

Each year, we hold a Military recognition breakfast during the Month of the Military Child for all military students and their families.
