Partnership with Weber State University

With paid tuition, for those who qualify.

What are Concurrent Enrollment classes?

Concurrent Enrollment classes are college-level courses taught by NUAMES teachers who have been certified by the college. We offer a wide range of these courses that align with the requirements for an associate's degree in general studies from Weber State University.  NUAMES student-to-teacher ratio is notably low at 23:1, which provides a more personalized learning experience for our students.

In Utah, NUAMES has been a pilot school for Concurrent Enrollment courses. NUAMES was the first high school in the state to offer a CE First-Year experience concurrent enrollment course, setting a precedent that other high schools are now following.

Earn your Associate's Degree

NUAMES students have the opportunity to earn their Associate Degree from Weber State entirely at NUAMES or through a combined approach with Weber State early college courses, where NUAMES pays the tuition through our NUAMES Early College Scholarship Program. Over 50% of our high school seniors receive their Associate Degree, one month prior to receiving their high school diploma.  More than 50% of NUAMES students also earn their Certificate of Completion through Weber State University, by completing the required core thirty credits that are required for any college degree.

Do NUAMES students have to attend college?

NUAMES prepares students for both success in college and STEM related careers, ensuring they are prepared for college whenever they choose to continue their education, whether that be at 18, 19, 25, or beyond. We focus on meaningful, individualized planning that aligns with each student's interests.

Dedicated early college advisors assist in mapping out college plans during their time at NUAMES. With a counselor-to-student ratio of 1:250, NUAMES offers a more personalized experience for students.

Graduation Requirements

All students who are wishing to graduate from NUAMES, must earn 27 high school credits and meet the Utah high school core requirements as well as  complete two years of engineering and/or computer science, four years of mathematics and four years of science (this includes credits earned during 9th grade).
